Our disability awareness workshops are perfect for lunch and learn or as part of a corporate team building day.

What can be covered in the disability workshops?

Our disability awareness workshops are not pre-set, in that we can tailor the workshop to meet your requirements.

We usually ask you to choose one topic from each box below (4 topics in total) to form your disability workshop.

A

Legislation & Reasonable Adjustments

The models of disability

B

Barriers & Solutions

Barriers in your organisation

C

Effective Communication

Customer Service

D

Stereotyping and unconscious bias

Access & Inclusion

If there is a topic that you would like to include in your lunch and learn workshop that is not listed above or you would like to incorporate more than 4 topics into your workshop, our trainers will be more than happy to discuss the options that are available with you.

Once you are happy with the topics you have chosen, we then select the appropriate games and activities for the delegates to engage in, which can include quizzes, videos and scenario-based tasks for example. We have ensured that our disability awareness workshops are interactive and participative, so that delegates get the most from them whilst having fun.

From our disability awareness workshops delivered in 2019, feedback from delegates showed that 100% would recommend to others.

How much do the disability awareness workshops cost?

The cost of our disability workshops is based on the number of delegates in attendance and the length of the workshop you would like.

The most popular disability workshop we deliver usually costs £1100.00 and this would last one hour for 30 delegates. Our lunch and learn workshops can last 1-1.5 hours with a maximum of 100 delegates. If you require a workshop for more than 100 delegates, please contact us so we can discuss a bespoke workshop. All of our workshops are delivered face to face at a location of your choosing.

There are many benefits to attending a disability workshop.

These include:

  • Promoting a more inclusive workforce
  • Supporting your colleagues to openly talk about disability
  • Improved communication between work colleagues
  • Boosting team morale
  • Team building days can help to reinforce the values and vision of a company
  • Can contribute to the overall organisational culture

Why choose Centre for Resolution’s disability awareness workshops?

All of our trainers are specialists in disability as they all have professional and personal experience of disability, and they bring this insight into their workshops. They are able to share their first-hand experience and their knowledge of disability with delegates to provide insight and learning. We believe it’s important for our disability workshops to be delivered by trainers who have both personal and professional experience of disability. This is to ensure that our workshops are delivered with balance and authenticity.

We use a thought-provoking approach to ensure delegates leave with an awareness and appreciation of disability, inclusivity and equality. Our lunch and learn workshops use a variety of methods to ensure that all delegates are able to learn and soak in valuable knowledge.

The key part of our training is that you and your employees feel empowered and confident when discussing disability, supporting or employing people with disabilities.

How do I book a workshop?

To book a workshop, you will first need to speak with one of our trainers. The aim of this discussion is to ensure that the workshop is tailored to meet your requirements. We would then discuss dates to deliver the workshop and the fees.

To discuss and create the perfect workshop for your organisation please contact us on 01905 330055 and one of our members of staff will be more than happy to assist you.
